At Bambini Health, school holidays are more than just time off — they’re an important opportunity for our team to pause, reflect, and refresh the therapy programs we deliver through our Allied Health Assistants (AHAs).
This past holiday break, our supervising therapists took the time to connect with our AHAs, review the wonderful work happening with each child, and make sure every therapy journey is on track, engaging, and meaningful. Here’s a little behind-the-scenes look at what we did.
Speech Therapy: Drop-Ins and Progression Sessions
Our Speech Supervisors spent time completing drop-in observations with our Speech Therapy Assistants, watching sessions in action and offering guidance and feedback. These drop-ins help ensure each therapy program stays aligned with a child’s goals while also sparking new ideas to keep things fun and motivating.
We also completed progression sessions, where supervisors and AHAs sat down together to reflect on each child’s progress, celebrate achievements, and review upcoming goals. These sessions allow us to adjust therapy activities, build on emerging skills, and make sure our programs continue to inspire joy and confidence.
Occupational Therapy: Program Reviews and Adjustments
On the Occupational Therapy side, our OT Supervisors worked closely with our OT Assistants to complete progression sessions and program adjustments. They reviewed how each child was progressing within their therapy plans, discussed what was working well, and made adjustments to better meet changing needs.
This might include updating resources, adding new sensory, fine motor, or daily living tasks, or adjusting goals to suit developmental changes. These check-ins help us keep therapy sessions fresh, meaningful, and relevant to each child’s world.
Why These Holiday Check-Ins Matter
These regular reviews are a core part of our AHA Therapy Services Agreement — and for good reason. They ensure:
Therapy programs remain clinically appropriate, effective, and enjoyable
Our AHAs feel supported, guided, and equipped to deliver quality sessions
Families stay connected to their child’s therapy journey with clear, up-to-date goals
We honour our core values of care, curiosity, teamwork, and joy
By investing time in these progression reviews and program adjustments, we make sure every child feels supported, empowered, and celebrated in their unique therapy experience.
Ready for a New Term
Now, with fresh plans in place, creative new ideas, and clear goals ahead, our AHAs and supervising therapists are ready to jump into the new term with energy and excitement!
We’re incredibly proud of the progress our kids have made so far and the dedicated work of our AHAs and supervisors. The school holidays have given us a valuable chance to reflect, adjust, and set everyone up for continued success.
If you’d like to learn more about how we support your child’s therapy journey through our AHA services, feel free to reach out — we’d love to chat and share more about what makes Bambini Health so special.
